It hasn't been the best start to the season for German manager Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool. The 'Reds' are struggling to win and unlike last term, they have not been overwhelming in the Premier League and even less so in the Champions League. In addition, they are not at the top of the English league table, a place they are used to being.
Despite the fact that the results are not going the English team's way and that is why the press has been quite hard on the team in general, they do highlight what the Colombian Luis Diaz has done. "Luis Diaz accumulates a score of 6.78, and thus has been the most outstanding so far. Although fellow striker Mohamed Salah, with a score of 6.67, is not far behind, impressive figures given that both have featured in every game so far this season," noted a local newspaper.

The same outlet also added: "While last season eight players had seven or more in their average rating, no Liverpool player after the first seven weeks of the season comes close to that number, underlining the alarming drop in standards for many," the publication added, referring to the big names at Anfield who have performed poorly.
Colombian striker Luis Diaz has played in all six of Liverpool's Premier League games, the two Champions League games and the Community Shield final. The 25-year-old South American, who arrived in January from Portuguese side Porto, has reportedly scored four goals in the minutes he has played this season.
Luis Diaz is currently in the United States working with the Colombia national team ahead of friendlies against Guatemala and Mexico on Saturday and Tuesday respectively. He will then return to Melwood to resume training with Liverpool for the 1 October match against Brighton at Anfield.
