Manu Koné is one of the main objectives for Liverpool's board

The Reds' board will have a hectic summer after a disappointing season in which the team failed to lift any titles and missed the target of qualifying for the next Champions League. In view of this, Jürgen Klopp has decided that the priority of this transfer window will be to reinforce the midfield and to achieve this he has set his sights on French midfielder Manu Koné.

Koné, who plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach, is worth approximately 30 million euros, a price that the Anfield board would be willing to pay to steal one of the jewels of the Bundesliga.

Given this alleged interest of Liverpool in the 22-year-old midfielder, Reds fans are excited as they consider that Koné could be a key player in the future of the team and for which other clubs could be interested in the future, so it has gradually become one of the priorities for the Reds.

With the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Liverpool's midfield is in urgent need of renewal, as players like Thiago and Fabinho are not expected to continue for many more years at Anfield.

The difference between Hazard and Kone

Eden Hazard ended his time with Real Madrid amid booing from his fans, as the Belgian player's performance was not as expected during the years he played for the Spanish team, reason why the Merengues fans have been asking for months for his departure from the team. On the other hand, Manu Koné received dozens of positive comments from Liverpool fans on his latest Instagram post, showing that they approve of his possible arrival at Anfield.
