Tyler Morton appears to have been punished by the Liverpool coaching staff led by Jurgen Klopp, who after singling him out for mistakes in the 3-0 defeat to Racing Strasbourg, decided to loan him out to Blackburn for next season. Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton has joined Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan deal.
The Academy graduate enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in the Reds’ first team last term, making nine appearances for Jürgen Klopp’s side, including starts against FC Porto, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.
Morton, a regular in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League in 2021-22, will now seek to gain further senior experience under the management of Jon Dahl Tomasson at Ewood Park.
Blackburn compete in the Championship and began the new season with a 1-0 home win over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
