Liverpool have not had much luck when it comes to injuries in this start of the season, as the list of unavailable players just keeps growing and growing. Today, Jürgen Klopp did not receive good news, because the time that a key player will be off the pitch was confirmed.

We're talking about midfielder and team captain Jordan Henderson. The Englishman is injured, he missed the important derby against Everton and his recovery time has already been revealed. It will be at least three weeks before he is back, so he will miss even more important games for Liverpool, both in the Premier League and in the UEFA Champions League.

The player who said no to Liverpool and could regret it

This is a much more serious problem than it might seem at first. In any other context, an injury is replaced by another player, however, this is the third injured midfielder, joining the Naby Keïta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the list. The biggest team in the city of Liverpool will lack depth in midfield, as there are not many alternatives for the German manager.

It cannot be denied that this has not been a good start to the season for the team that plays on Anfield. In fact, Manchester City is already 5 points ahead of them, in just 6 gameweeks played in the Premier League. Of those 6 games, Liverpool have only managed to win 2 of them.

What will Klopp do to avoid prolonging the poor streak?

The 55-year-old coach has an ace up his sleeve, called Thiago Alcantara. The Spaniard has not been available yet, however, he recently returned to training sessions with the team. It's still early to play him for 90 minutes, but recuperating the former Bayern Munich back is great news for Red fans.
