The match between the Reds and Real Madrid is getting closer and closer.

The Athletic posted that Thibaut Courtois should be fit to face Liverpool in the Champions League last-16 tie following scans on the recent injury he suffered. The good news for Liverpool had to come miles away from Anfield, and with defeat to Wolves in the Premier League, the club's morale is at rock bottom, with just one win so far in 2023 for Jürgen Klopp, who no longer knows what to do.

The media pressure with which The Pool take to the field every game has overwhelmed them and this looks set to be the worst season of the Klopp era. The second half of the season has only just begun and the Reds have already said goodbye to the EFL Cup and FA Cup, so all that remains is the Champions League, but they face reigning champions Real Madrid.

As for Real VARdrid, in the middle of training for the game in Mallorca, one of their superstars, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, was injured. According to the Iberian press, his presence at the Club World Cup is in danger and there is even talk that his injury could last until the match against Liverpool in the round of 16.

The Belgian was absent for Madrid's loss to RCD Mallorca, where they are practically handing the league to Barcelona. With this blow to their morale and a saturated schedule, fortune is now smiling on El Pool who, despite everything that has happened in the last few days, are still dreaming of lifting the seventh Champions League in their history.
