The German coach is willing to do anything to sign the midfielder

Liverpool had to "make do" with the signing of Arthur Melo in the closing stages of the summer transfer window as they search for new options to improve their midfield. The Reds do not appear to be satisfied with that move at the moment, according to recent reports. There is even talk that the Brazilian could leave in the winter for Spain, where there are two teams interested.

The Reds continue to look to the future and in this case they have just followed in the footsteps of one of the players who has made the best start to a season in Europe, having just arrived in continental football after making the leap from Argentina. German coach Jürgen Klopp wants to reinforce the midfield and given the complexity of bringing in Jude Bellingham, he is looking at this option with good eyes.

The Anfield side are therefore seeing the number of reports suggesting new targets for Jürgen Klopp's side in the winter transfer window start to increase little by little. Such is now the case of a player who has impressed in his first steps in European football. A signing that Benfica could end up making a big profit on.

As explained in a local media report, the Merseyside outfit have decided to follow in the footsteps of Enzo Fernandez. His presentation with the Lisbon club, to which he arrived from River Plate in 2022 in exchange for €10m, could not have been better. He has scored 3 goals in 9 games.

The 21-year-old Argentinian talent has impressed with his performances and that is why he has been quickly linked with the English club. The English side are keeping a close eye on the performances of this player, who has a €120m termination clause that marks his release for the time being. We will see how he continues to develop.
