The Reds are preparing a big-money move for one of the world's footballing stars

Of course, what interests us most as sick lovers of football is what happens on the pitch. And this is where the good stuff would come in, because, if Liverpool decide to sign Mbappé, we would have the duel of the next decade in the Premier League. Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland are, without a doubt, the heirs to the football throne; now, imagine having them both in the Premiership.

The duels they are going to have every season. Call me a dreamer, but it would be wonderful to see them in the same league. Kylian Mbappé has his mind off PSG. The French striker wants to leave the Parisian side and is reviving the hopes of Liverpool, the team that sought him out a few months ago before his renewal until 2025.

Mbappé has already decided his future, Anfield celebrates

In May, when Mbappé's future was looking towards the Santiago Bernabeu, the German coach spoke about the Frenchman. "Of course we are interested. We like Kylian, we are not blind. But we are not going to sign him, we are not in this battle," said a resigned Klopp. The Reds tried, but couldn't, as the Frenchman told MARCA.

I have spoken to Liverpool because [red] is my mother's favourite colour and my mother loves Liverpool. Why? I don't know, ask her [laughs]. We met them a few years ago when I was at Monaco, it's a great club.... Now we talk to them a little bit, but not much.... In the end it was between Real Madrid and PSG," Mbappé confessed. His 'story' at Anfield could have a first chapter.

And if Kylian arrives at Anfield, Klopp would have to redraw his attack. The Frenchman is not so keen on playing as a '9', as he has shown in recent weeks in Paris. A problem he would not have on Merseyside with Darwin, who would 'free him up'. Besides, Liverpool's style, with intense pressing and pace and the speed and space to play in the open field as their flagship, suits his qualities perfectly.
