Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, who is reportedly unhappy with his role at the Bundesliga side. The Reds are also being linked with Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo. The Sao Paulo defender is said to be attracting interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus.

As well as transfer news, we will have all the build-up to Wednesday's Carabao Cup tie against West Ham United, we'll also have the latest on Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota's injuries. The first comes from BILD, who on Tuesday that Bayern Munich have elected to put Joshua Kimmich on the market rather than offer him a new contract.

The 28-year-old is also mentioned in the same breath as Man City and Real Madrid, though could be a target for the Reds to replace Thiago Alcantara if he leaves next summer. It is worth remembering he was linked during the recent summer transfer window too.

Part of Pep Lijnders' press conference on Tuesday was explaining the latest with all of the injuries within Liverpool's squad at the moment, and Diogo Jota was given a promising mention. The attacker has been absent since the Reds played Man City almost a month a go, he is not available yet though is closing in on a return.

Liverpool transfer targets

CaughtOffside claim to know of internal discussions between Anfield chiefs that have taken place recently discuss a transfer strategy for 2024. They say the focus will be on midfield and defence as a number of familiar names are linked to the Reds once again, whilst the exit of one squad member is mentioned. Despite conflicting reports Joao Palhinha is still said to be on the list - he is joined by Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone to complete the midfield 'targets'. In defence, Piero Hincapie and Goncalo Inacio are the players believed to be on the club's radar.
