The Portuguese will not be the only purchase the Asian country is trying to make

Cristiano Ronaldo's next team could be Al Nassr, according to several Spanish media and journalist Fabrizio Romano, who claim that the Portuguese would have a three-year firm offer of 200 million euros a year on the table from the Saudi club and that the only thing left to discuss is the image rights and sponsors, which would be done after the World Cup in Qatar, as the former Manchester United player does not want to start managing his future until then.

But Saudi Arabia is not the only purchase that the country intends to make in the Premier League. According to The Athletic newspaper, a partnership formed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar could be the next owners of Liverpool, as the English newspaper claims that they would be willing to offer the current owners of Anfield up to 3.2 billion euros.

A purchase that would undoubtedly represent a blow of authority in the Premier League. Let's remember that currently in the English top flight, there are several of the so-called state clubs. One of them is Manchester City, whose economic potential is capable of carrying out big money signings every summer without shaking its economy, and more recently, it has been Newcastle who has taken the step and ceded its ownership to Bin Salman, coincidentally the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, becoming the richest club in the world.

Saudi Arabia is expanding, its football is evolving, as evidenced by the 1-2 win over Argentina in the first round of the World Cup in Qatar, and more and more Saudi businessmen are taking the plunge to take over a club. Now, they seem to have set their sights on the Premier League and, as well as trying to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, they may be looking to take over Liverpool.

A deal that would be good for the Reds' coffers, as this summer they tried to sign Tchouaméni and Mbappé, but, as Jürgen Klopp himself said: "they can't compete against certain clubs". If a new owner were to come in and make a big injection of money, perhaps the outcome with signings would start to be different in the future.
