Pharaoh has just turned down a €180m bid from Al-Ittihad

Mohamed Salah remains one of the best players in the world and is undoubtedly the best player currently in our Liverpool squad. At 31 years of age, Salah is shaping up to have another great season, with the Reds aiming to reverse last season's failure.

That is why the Saudi Pro League has tried to take him this summer, as Al-Ittihad offered him a two-year, €128 million contract to join them, but the Pharaoh rejected the offer because he wants to remain focused on Liverpool and because for now he has no intention of leaving European football.

His agent, Ramy Abbas, said that "If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract at the club last summer". These words have reassured all the fans at Anfield, because this summer Al-Ittihad itself has already taken away one of the players who was fundamental in the team and in the scheme of the German tactician, since they paid £40 million for Fabinho and have left us without a first-choice defensive midfielder.

However, once again Mo Salah has shown that he is a complete professional and totally focused on Liverpool, as in the Reds' last pre-season game he was once again a fundamental factor in the team's performance.

Salah against Darmstadt

In Liverpool's last pre-season match against SV Darmstadt 98, Mohamed Salah was involved in our club's first two goals. He scored the 1-0 after 5 minutes of the first half and three minutes later he assisted Diogo Jota to score the second goal of the match. Without a doubt, no matter if it is a friendly game or a Premier League match, Salah always gives his best.
