Mohamed Salah looked a different player to the one we saw at the end of last season during Saturday's Community Shield. It's almost as if he's taken the world off his shoulders and looked like a new signing in the last two games. All that concern regarding his contract coming from his agent and supporters, he carried that burden and it showed at times in the way he played.
Now that it's all settled, Salah could be in contention for another Golden Boot. With Darwin Nunez now in the team, a player with whom he will no doubt develop a good understanding, Salah will score at least 20 goals and probably even 30.
As far as our summer transfer business is concerned, Nunez has gone down well with the team. Fabio Carvalho looks like he is going to be a great player, but we have yet to see Calvin Ramsay. He has balanced the team, which is important, something a lot of clubs can't achieve.
One player to watch this season is Naby Keita. A lot of money was spent on him and we are yet to see his best in a Liverpool shirt. He hasn't been a great signing because he's had too many injuries and simply hasn't played enough games.
Keita has ability, he's a bright talent in the future, but, with a year left on his contract, he has to act for his own good and get a move to a really good club. His other option is to work hard, fight as hard as possible and prove to the club that he deserves a new contract. If not, he will leave at the end of the season.
