Quansah or Endo in defence to play against Wolverhampton, Klopp's big doubt

Jurgen with line-up problems

Jurgen with line-up problems

The FIFA matchday this September has been very useful for Jurgen Klopp, who now has a clearer idea of which players to use at least for the next few Premier League games. The German tactician has solved a problem in terms of the attacking line-up, but has also gained another problem in the defensive section.

At least for this weekend's match against Wolves, Klopp will have to find a way to strengthen a defensive sector that today has the absence of Virgil van Dijk and a question mark over the fitness of Ibrahima Konate, having as always the easy solution in players like Joe Gomez or Joel Matip, with the coach perhaps experimenting with a new line-up that includes Wataru Endo after the success he had a few days ago against Germany.

Although the pivotal position is where Endo is most comfortable, the Reds coach could experiment to see how the Japanese player performs in his role as a central defensive midfielder, although it is also said that the opportunity could come at the hands of 20-year-old Jarell Quansah, who plays as a central defender.

Klopp and his interest in young players

The possible inclusion of Jarell in the Reds starting line-up for this coming Saturday's game is just one clear indicator of the good work that the team and Jürgen Klopp are doing in trying to get the most potential out of the club's youth ranks, with the German coach reaffirming his commitment to trying to make the Reds a competitive group through youth and experience, Quansah being just one of many examples of this project that today sees younger faces trying to earn a place in Klopp's squad.
