Reds' purge could make room for two star players in upcoming transfer window

After the subject of Liverpool's bombshell signings had died down for some time, new information about a possible sale of the team to an oil group has evidently started the rumour mill churning again, with Kilian Mbappe and above all Jude Bellingham the pair of bombshell reinforcements for whom the Reds and Jurgen Klopp would be willing to fight it out on a big-money basis.

Although there is still nothing concrete after the sale of the team was revealed just a day ago, speculation has already begun about which players could leave the institution to make room for the new elements, heading the list are several midfield players such as Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while in attack the departure of Roberto Firmino is still latent.

Despite the win, these players will not play for Liverpool again, Firmino trembles

Klopp's tremendous scolding of one of his players against Derby County, not Firmino

The departure of the Brazilian Firmino for the summer of 2023 obviously leaves a gap to fill in the Reds' attacking sector, which could be well filled by Darwin Núñez if he manages to get back to his best level by then, but if he fails to do so and is inconsistent as he has been so far, the fight for Mbappe's services would make a lot of sense, especially if the Frenchman's fight with Erling Haaland to see who is the new king of Europe is to be revived with intensity.

The midfield had and continues to present multiple problems with the issue of regularity and injuries, but fortunately Jurgen Klopp was able to find a solid group that solves the Premier League and Champions League matches in a very good way, emerging even with that constancy the need to bring a young leader to that sector of the field that can solve the complicated games, as it happens with Van Dijk in defence or Mohamed Salah in attack, being Bellingham the most indicated after having failed to sign Keita or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Keita and Oxlade out

These two gems are the desire of many important institutions in Europe, with Liverpool having a complicated situation because unlike their rivals, they still do not have the capital with which to compete for both players, which is why it is vital that the rumour of a possible sale can become a reality and thus be able to make a formal proposal that convinces both the Englishman and the Frenchman to come to Merseyside to fight not only for the local championship but also for the UEFA Champions League.
