Injuries continue to take their toll on Jürgen Klopp's squad

Liverpool's constant during the month of October has been to finish their games with at least one injured player, a situation that has really tested the qualities of Jürgen Klopp on the bench with the large number of changes to both the starting eleven and the tactical set-up, finding against Rangers and now against Manchester City that small constancy of a group that once again was affected in attack with the injury of one of its players.

Despite the fact that the campaign in England is now two months old, the Reds continue to suffer the ravages of injuries, and although it seems that the number of players in poor condition is decreasing week after week, the reality is that it has remained the same and even increased on some days, for while Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to the bench against the Cityzens after his injury against Arsenal, his team-mate Diogo Jota was stretchered off with a calf problem.

Despite win over Manchester City, Klopp is worried about this Liverpool problem

In his worst season for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has already surpassed a Reds legend

The Portugal international had to be withdrawn from the game against Manchester City after some discomfort in his calf, which from the images shown in the broadcast of the game, the Reds attacker appeared to be in pain and felt discomfort in that area. Even if tests determine that it was just an overuse, the No. 20 will most likely be out of action on Wednesday when his team travels to London's Olympic Stadium to face West Ham.

Although reports have not yet been made official, rumour has it that Jota's injury could be serious, threatening not only his chances of representing his country at the World Cup in a few weeks' time, but also that the knock will not allow him to have the attacking consistency for Liverpool that he has struggled for this season.

Diogo Jota has a major injury

If the injury is confirmed, Diogo Jota will have to take his recovery slowly, with the Portuguese aiming for a return in December once the World Cup is over, having at least eight weeks and a mini-tour of Dubai to compete again for a starting place for Boxing Day, of course, only if it is confirmed that the injury represents a danger to the player.
