The Reds lost to one of the worst teams in the Premier League

Universal surprise in the Premier League. Believe it or not, Liverpool lost at home to Leeds United. The entire season is proving to be an endless ordeal for Liverpool in the Premier League 2022-23. German manager Jürgen Klopp's side are seemingly in a constant state of deadlock as their overall form has been inconsistent, favouring all comers to Anfield on each matchday.

Certainly, this match was very similar to the previous ones, where defensive mistakes are predominant, and attacks are blocked. Their intensity to play the ball is less than it was in their prime. As a result, their overall results are condemning them to fall far short of the top positions, where they have always been accustomed to being.

Jude Bellingham breaks silence on his future, Klopp laughs

This season, all indications are that, barring a catastrophe, Manchester City and Arsenal will fight for the league title, because the Reds are in the doldrums. The goals were scored by Rodrigo Moreno in the opening minutes for Leeds, while the equaliser was scored by Mohamed Salah. It was all going perfectly up to that point, but the visitors' winner came courtesy of Crysencio Summerville.

A painful defeat for all, surprising for those who trusted the UEFA Champions League winners a few years ago. The next round of Premier League fixtures sees Leeds United at home to Bournemouth on Saturday 5 November at (10:00 AM - PERUVIAN TIME). Liverpool, meanwhile, will have to visit Tottenham, and hope to improve on an inauspicious start.

Klopp slipped up

It was a very difficult match for Liverpool, but especially for German manager Jürgen Klopp who, while walking in the technical area, had a slip that almost caused him to fall, although he was able to keep his balance and stay on his feet. He got a good scare, though, and got a chuckle from someone in the dugout.
