Jürgen Klopp wants to land a world-class player in a major coup

The summer transfer market could still give us big surprises as our Liverpool seems to be far from closing its squad and Jürgen Klopp would be looking for the arrival of at least a couple of more players, especially considering the possible departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in the coming days.

Since the end of last season in which our Liverpool signed a disastrous campaign, Jürgen Klopp would have made it a priority to sign young midfielders to carry out a reconstruction of the squad for the new season in which they will try to reverse the failure of the previous one.

In that sense, Klopp has had several players in mind for several weeks, however, due to the economic issue, he would have discarded a couple of names that although he would have been interested in them, they were impossible due to their high price. However, the sale of Fabinho and Henderson could increase the budget and make those names that seemed unattainable back to be again among the real possibilities.

Jürgen Klopp would be thinking of making a signing that would undoubtedly break the market, as the board has shown that it is not afraid to pay large sums when it comes to good players, as happened this summer with Dominik Szoboszlai for whom they paid 70 million euros. But now, Klopp would go for an even more expensive player who was in the last UEFA Champions League final.

The star Klopp wants for Liverpool

According to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, Liverpool would be closely following Nicolo Barella, the 26-year-old Italian midfielder who played in the Champions League final against Manchester City. Currently the Transfermarkt portal rates him at 75 million euros.
