This transfer window has not turned out to be what many of us expected for Liverpool, because when it began it was believed that we would be one of the most active teams and we have been, but not in the way we had planned, as the Anfield board has only managed to complete two signings and instead 20 players have already left the club this summer, either on loan, as free agents or on permanent sale.

It is no secret that this summer has turned out to be a failure for the board because although it seems that a third reinforcement will finally arrive, the negotiation has been very bad and what was intended to be an economic saving finally became an absolute waste of time that could affect the performance of Jürgen Klopp's team.

Since the unexpected departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho were made official, Klopp and the board have been looking to sign a new defensive midfielder and Romeo Lavia seems to be the one who will finally join the Reds. However, Liverpool had three bids rejected for not meeting Southampton's initial £50 million asking price for the player. Finally, in the urgency to sign, Liverpool will end up paying Southampton's asking price and only delayed the signing of a player who could have done pre-season training with the team and who will now miss Liverpool's first Premier League game against Chelsea.

Now, according to journalist Paul Joyce, central defender Nathaniel Phillips has attracted the interest of multiple teams from the Championship, as well as from Germany and the Netherlands.

How much money would Phillips' departure bring in?

For several days it has been rumored that Nat Phillips is one of the main targets of Leeds United, who would be willing to pay the £10 million asked by Liverpool's board to let Phillips leave.
