Reds' Element set a new record at Anfield

Liverpool returned to action after a bizarre September, which has seen them play very few games between the international break and the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The Reds returned to the Premier League against Brighton, against whom Roberto Firmino scored his 75th goal in the history of the competition.

The Brazilian striker is in his eighth season at Anfield in 2022-23 and has made a good start to the season in contrast to recent seasons. He has already scored four goals in the Premier League to start the 2021-22 campaign and in 2021-22 he just managed to bring his tally to five goals for the campaign as a whole.

The former Hoffenheim man's best scoring campaign in the English top flight came in 2017-18, when he managed 15 goals. In 2018-19 he managed 12, in 2016-17 he netted 11, in 2015-16 he netted 10 and in both 2019-20 and 2020-21 he managed nine.

Arsenal are the team most punished by Roberto Firmino with nine goals. The Brazilian has then scored eight against Watford, six against Crystal Palace and Leicester, and five each against Bournemouth, Tottenham, Burnley, Swansea and Manchester City.
