The Reds take the lead in signing the midfielder who will be at the World Cup in Qatar

There is one player who is of great interest to Carlo Ancelotti and who could lead Madrid to make a firm offer in the near future, one that could be as much as 70 million euros and which would scupper the club's attack for Jude Bellingham, leaving the way clear for Liverpool to sign the Borussia Dortmund captain.

The player in question happens to be the best in his position in Italy and a real reference in one of the sixteen best teams in Europe; one of those qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League, precisely at the expense of FC Barcelona, Madrid's natural enemy.

Players who would leave to bring Cristiano to Liverpool

Madrid are one of those three, four, teams capable of taking the English midfielder from Borussia Dortmund, however, as the Spanish media have reported, the club are convinced of the talent of the British player, but not to the point of reaching the 150 million euros that the Bundesliga team is now asking for their pearl, an amount that, it is believed, Chelsea or Manchester United could reach. That being said, Madrid need a plan B.

And for Carlo Ancelotti that alternative is clear: he is his compatriot, the best in the Azzurri national team in his position and a real reference point for Simone Inzaghi's Inter Milan, the one who defeated FC Barcelona, along with Bayern Munich, in the group stage of the Champions League. We are obviously talking about Nicollo Barella, who will not be at the Qatar showpiece but will be at the Nations League final four, where Spain will also be playing.

Bellingham to Liverpool and Barella to Real Madrid

At 25 years of age, Barella is the total midfielder, capable of bringing the ball out of play with a refined technique, a specialist in distribution, who also has a great work rate in the back four and is a great finisher, as demonstrated by the goal he scored against Barça in the blaugrana coliseum. The Italian has a contract with Inter until 2026 and is valued at 70 million euros; a much more affordable amount than that of Bellingham to give Kroos and Modric a guaranteed replacement.
