Jordan Henderson (12) and Mohamed Salah (46) scored the goals in a packed National Stadium in Singapore. Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson and Portuguese striker Diogo Jota both missed out due to physical complaints, while midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain had to be substituted shortly before half-time, apparently with a thigh muscle problem.

Jürgen Klopp spoke about Alex's injury

"It's angry because he was training very well," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp lamented. "We have experienced worse situations, but he is obviously a top player," he added.

Despite the physical problems, the German manager was pleased with his side's reaction to the 4-0 drubbing by Manchester United in the preceding friendly in Bangkok earlier in the week. Liverpool will continue their friendly preparations for the new season in Germany and Austria.
