Work has begun on the transfer window

Despite a busy summer in Europe, a number of star signings were left over from last summer's transfer window, and Liverpool's plans to improve a squad that has shown a number of weaknesses were kicked into the long term. Among those cases, the continuity of Jude Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund seems to have an expiry date as many teams follow him, among them the Reds.

Following the transfer of Norwegian Erling Haaland to Manchester City, an expected departure for the last break, there is speculation that the England midfielder will move to an old continent powerhouse in the near future. The giants are already in the running for him because of the great qualities he has shown in the Bundesliga and which have him as one of the most promising prospects for the future in world football.

Jürgen Klopp's long Liverpool recruitment wish list

Liverpool were one of the first to show interest in Bellingham, who was valued at 120 million euros by Dortmund. But then other names appeared, such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid, among others. Therefore, the dispute for the player will be tense and will be defined until the end, forcing Liverpool to have a plan B in case they do not achieve the signing of their dreams.

The list of potential targets for the midfielder is extensive, but only one club could be the next step for the 19-year-old. The Reds are preparing for a negative future with regard to his signing and are already considering an alternative to avoid being left in limbo. And they will turn to Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes, with whom they have done business before with Fabinho, Diogo Jota and Allison Becker, who are stars of the current squad.

Matheus Nunes is in the spotlight

It is Matheus Nunes, who Wolverhampton signed this summer for almost 44 million euros, the highest figure for the club. The midfielder was coming off the back of shining for Sporting Lisbon in the Primeira Liga, where Liverpool snapped up two of their recent stars: Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz. His youth is one of his most striking qualities, but they will have to wait for him to show good things with Wolves during the first half of the Premier League season to know if he is ready to make the big step in his career.
