The 2023 summer transfer window has finally ended. Months full of rumors, failed signings and speculation are now behind us and our Liverpool have wrapped up their participation with the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from FC Bayern, although they were unable to sign the central defender that Jürgen Klopp wanted so badly so they will have to make do with the defenders already in the squad.

In general terms, we could say that it was a good transfer market, because although there were only four reinforcements, it seems that all four are of a very good level and can contribute great things to the team immediately, but also in the medium and long term. Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai are, together with Ryan Gravenberch, the 4 reinforcements of this summer.

However, on the other hand, a total of 22 players have left the club, including free agents, loans and permanent sales. There were definitely some departures that had a greater impact than others on the fans and the team itself, such as Jordan Henderson, who was our captain, or Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, who had become great stars of the team.

Coming to the last day of the transfer window it did not seem that our Liverpool could lose one more player, but finally it was the case as there was a player whose departure was made official less than an hour before the transfer window closed in Europe.

Who was the last player to leave Anfield this summer?

We are talking about Tyler Morton, defensive midfielder for whom just a day ago it had been reported that other teams were interested in signing him or taking him on loan and finally the latter ended up happening. Our Liverpool has confirmed Morton's departure from the team as he will play the rest of the 2023-2024 season with Hull City.
