On and off the pitch Reds boss is a person to admire

In his role as manager Jurgen Klopp is undoubtedly one of the most intelligent and capable men in international football, but away from the pitch and taking a look at that quality as a person, the German continues to demonstrate some of those values that have been reflected on the pitch and especially in his players, making him a much loved man not only by Reds fans but also by everyone in the Premier League.

A few days ago in Liverpool's game against Tottenham Hotspur, Klopp showed his values and his calmness by not getting involved in a problem generated by Antonio Conte from the bench, and days later in the Carabo Cup clash against Derby County, the German continued with his good image by interacting with the rival manager after the match that ended in a penalty shootout in favour of the Reds.

Manager Paul Warne was amazed and somewhat surprised by Klopp's overtures to him after the referee had blown the final whistle in the Round of 16 clash between Derby County and Liverpool, with the Englishman declaring that the Reds boss invited him for a drink, a simple act but one that underlines his friendliness and warmth, characteristics not often seen in European managers in England. "He said let's have a drink afterwards. In the Premier League, European managers don't really do that."

Although Warne himself claims that this act by Jürgen came after learning that Pep Guardiola had not been a good host to his rivals, the Rams boss made it feel during his statement that the German's invitation was genuine, indirectly leaving the Manchester City boss as a cold and somewhat arrogant man. "He read that Pep [Guardiola] didn't invite us and he [Klopp] kindly said come in."

Although Guardiola is a man who is not very open to such situations, that does not mean that everything he does or says is wrong or should be taken as such, for on and off the pitch he has remained far removed from controversy, focusing like Klopp entirely on his teams and on trying to achieve as much as possible, with both institutions remaining in contention in both the Champions League and the Carabao Cup, with the Cityzens ahead of the Reds only in the Premier League.
