Liverpool is by far one of the best teams in Europe, not only in England, however, irregularity has attacked them and they have alternated very important performances with unexpected falls. Just a few fixtures ago they took away Manchester City's unbeaten run, but in their two recent Premier League games they lost, which has them in 9th place with 16 points.

In the UEFA Champions League the Reds had a resounding win against Napoli, another team that was unbeaten in all competitions and is the Serie A leader. Mohamed Salah and Uruguayan Darwin Núñez scored for Jürgen Klopp's side. Now the mission is to repeat that performance against Spurs.

Will South Korea be forced to go to Qatar without their star player? South Korean fans are on tenterhooks awaiting news on the injury status of captain Son Heung-min, fearing he will miss the World Cup because of damage to his face sustained in a Champions League game against Olympique Marseille on Tuesday. Son, 30, will undergo surgery to "consolidate a fracture around his left eye," Tottenham, the English club where the South Korean striker plays, announced on Wednesday.

"After the operation, Son will begin his convalescence with our medical team," Spurs added, without specifying whether or not his participation in the World Cup in Qatar (20 November-21 December) is compromised. Son had to leave the field on Tuesday just before the half-hour mark after a collision with Marseille defender Chancel Mbemba.

After the game, Tottenham assistant coach Cristian Stellini had claimed that Son was doing better and had celebrated the 2-1 win with his team-mates. According to the Daily Telegraph, Son suffers four fractures in his eye socket, and the operation was brought forward to Friday to give him more recovery time. Richarlison, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min are all confirmed to be out of Sunday's match, with Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur also doubts for the fixture. Lucas Moura is also being assessed ahead of the fixture.
