The Red's will be in London to face Tottenham in Round 15 of the Premier League

We are in the penultimate game of the Premiere League before the break for the World Cup in Qatar 2022, where the English League will resume activities until 26 December in what is known as "boxing day'". For the Reds, these two games are crucial to their aspirations to climb the table and regain their place where they belong on 'The Big Island'.

Ahead of the game against Spurs at the renovated stadium, Jürgen Klopp stated that from now on his team will be playing Champions League type games, where the only option is to win. "What I can say I never once thought before going to Tottenham 'now is a good time to face Tottenham'. It will be a tough one but that's what we all want. It's like a Champions League game in the Premier League and that's how we'll approach it.

Klopp knows that this Tottenham side are much more careful than in previous seasons, and it is not for nothing that the Londoners have a 10-point lead over them. "They are well organised in defending. Their counter-attack is a massive thing. You saw their offensive power. They have scored goals in the last minutes lately, so we are prepared for a confident, strong opponent.

The pressure on Liverpool FC going into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be gigantic, as before the game, Crystal Palace also play in London, and a win over West Ham United would cause a domino effect that would further sink the Red's, who have no choice but to beat Spurs, who are unbeaten in three games in a row.

A Champions League game

The Reds are coming off the back of two Premier League defeats in a row, a situation that has set alarm bells ringing, so Klopp is trying to take some of the pressure off and not focus on the points. "It's a big game for us, difficult as well. I didn't count the points difference between us and then but we cannot be picky with points, we have to go for it", closed our head coach.
