Liverpool continues to look for new signings to reinforce the team for next season, in which the club will try to reverse the failure of the previous campaign in which it did not achieve the minimum objective of qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League. In that sense, it seems that Jürgen Klopp's priority is to sign a central defender who can be Virgil van Dijk's new partner.

Jürgen Klopp would have told the Anfield board that his priority to reinforce the defense would be Levi Colwill, Chelsea defender who at 20 years of age is projected as one of the most promising players in English football, which has earned him to be valued at 30 million euros according to the Transfermarkt portal. However, despite the fact that Liverpool have already approached the club to inquire about a possible transfer of Colwill, the Blues have communicated on both occasions that the player is not for sale.

Given this scenario, Liverpool would have to look for other alternatives to fulfill Jürgen Klopp's wishes. For several weeks now, other defenders have been linked as possible Liverpool targets, such as Micky van de Ven, Gonçalo Inácio and Edmond Tapsoba, but so far the Reds have not made an official approach for any of the three.

However, according to the Italian media Tuttosport, our Liverpool would now be interested in another player who already in the past had been linked with a possible transfer to Anfield. We are talking about Perr Schuurs, a central defender who currently plays for Torino in Serie A, and who would be valued at around 40 million by the Italian club.

Liverpool run out of options

Although there are still a number of players available in the transfer window, Liverpool have not been able to secure their third signing this summer, so other teams could go ahead and sign them first. Klopp is said to have at least two more signings in mind: a midfielder and a defender.
