The Football Association may take time to deliver a final verdict against the German manager

After Liverpool took that slender lead against Manchester City with Mohamed Salah's goal, the final minutes at Anfield were filled with pure drama in the dugout, a situation that took its toll on manager Jurgen Klopp, who had to leave the field after being sent off by referee Anthony Taylor, leaving the German to miss the final moments of that game and possibly also the games against West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

Such unbridled explosiveness Klopp had not shown since he became Liverpool manager a few years ago, losing his head completely and getting himself sent off for the first time as manager of the Merseyside club. But while the anger led to the red card for the German, he may not have any immediate reprisals, as the final verdict of the Football Association is yet to be known.

With the Premier League fixtures so close together, the referee's report given by Anthony Taylor could take time to be reviewed, a situation that could benefit the Liverpool manager as he could fully carry out his duties as a referee in this double-header for the Reds.  The FA will have to see if what the German did should be grounds for a punishment, a warning or if they will simply ignore what happened.

Even if Jurgen Klopp decides to be censured for what happened against Manchester City, there is no guarantee that he will be removed from the squad this week. The immediacy of a verdict could change the situation, as happened in August with the problem between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte, with the FA deciding hours later to impose a punishment that directly affected the then Tottenham boss.

As long as there is no clear sanction for the Liverpool boss, he will be able to continue his activities as normal ahead of the pair of matches in the third week of October, with the Reds able to pick up a couple of victories that will put them within a few points of getting into contention for a European competition spot, as they are just three points behind fifth place.
