Jürgen Klopp's explosive reaction after Brighton draw

Liverpool are still struggling to find their way in this season's Premier League as they were held to another 3-3 draw against Brighton and Hove on Matchday 9 of the Premier League season. Manager Jürgen Klopp told a news conference that the result at Anfield Road felt like a defeat and that his colleague De Zerbi's plan surprised them on the pitch.

Everything that used to flow is now bogged down, all the faults that are analysed time and time again in training are repeated in matches, all the adjustments are lost. Even the smile has gone from Jürgen Klopp's face, who cannot find the key to solve Liverpool's crisis in this chaotic start to the season.

This Saturday his backline again struggled and looked small against Brighton and he did not shirk that reality: "I spoke to the lads in a similar way to how I speak to you. I don't know how many times I have to say we need a reaction," he lamented.

"The first goal has an impact on both teams. They were flying and we were in the middle ground. They used that for the second goal. We could have defended much better. It's football and you have to accept that. On a day like this, when it starts like that, it's important to fight your way back.... We always have problems against Brighton, who are a very good football team, but we have to do better," he added.

Klopp scolded his players 

The analysis is a wake-up call for everyone in red, including Luis Diaz: "This game has different stories. There's the story of how we conceded two early goals, there's the story of how we got back into the game, then there's the story of how we threw it away. Brighton is a very good football team and a real team. It was a different formation, were we a bit surprised? Yes, a little bit. But we were already 2-0 down when we adjusted. We scored our goals which were counter attacks. We could have won, but would we have deserved to win? In fact, I'm not sure.
