The Brazilian is negotiating his continuity with the Reds

Roberto Firmino is one step away from extending his contract with Liverpool FC. The Brazilian striker has been offered a contract until 2025 with an option to extend it for a further year, according to journalist Nicolò Schira. The Reds have seen the growth of their striker and Jurgen Klopp wants to keep him for several seasons. His current contract expires in June 2023 and the English team's management is offering him a renewal.

The Brazilian national football team, under Tite, has decided to dispense with the services of Roberto Firmino for the World Cup in Qatar 2022, something that has not gone down well with the player's entourage. Even so, Liverpool 'benefit' from the non-call-up of the Carioca and keep him 'fresh' for the return in December. Jurgen Klopp has been the architect in two areas: firstly, the enormous improvement of Roberto Firmino on the pitch; secondly, the consent to offer the Brazilian star a new contract.

Club Atlético de Madrid have been looking at Roberto Firmino's situation for several weeks, if not months. The 'colchoneros' are looking for a guaranteed '9' and see in the Brazilian the perfect figure. The possible departure of Morata would be key to intensify their interest. However, everything is cut short just a few days before the opening of the winter transfer window. Firmino is on the verge of reaching an agreement with Liverpool and will wear the Reds shirt until at least 2025.

Atlético de Madrid is already working on the sporting planning for next season, all this after the red and white team has closed a series of signings for this 2022/2023 with which it does not end up making the expected leap in quality to continue having the best squad in the history of the club and aspire again to the big titles two years after conquering LaLiga against all odds.

The Argentine coach, faced with the possible departure of players such as Ángel Correa, Matheus Cunha and Joao Félix, is well aware of the need to look for new players to reinforce his attack, seeking new alternatives for his attack with a view to the summer of 2023, having thought about Liverpool's Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino, who to date has not managed to reach an agreement to renew his contract with the Anfield outfit.
