Crysencio Summerville is a name that will be remembered at Anfield Stadium and especially by Virgil Van Dijk. The 21-year-old striker, just shy of the 90-minute mark, broke into the six-yard box to score the 2-1 goal in Liverpool v Leeds United in the 14th Premier League match of the season. In a bid to stay top of the table, Jürgen Klopp's side came at the Whites' goal from all sides.

However, goalkeeper Illan Meslier was up to the task every time he was called upon. Then, with the safety of the French '1', Jesse Marsch's side made the most of one of the few chances they had in the second half. Close to the corner flag, James Milner made a defensive rebound. But, just yards from the centre circle, Tyler Adams responded by the same means.

The only difference was that the Albos man's intervention left the ball in the hands of Wilfried Gnonto, who met the experienced Reds player. Gnonto, 18, attracted the mark of Milner and Curtis Jones. As the Italian took the Liverpool players close to the byline, the Leeds winger slipped a pass over the edge of the box.

There, Patrick Bamford anticipated Van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara to deliver to his team-mate. As soon as he controlled, Summerville prevented the Spanish midfielder from picking the ball out of his grasp and he shot first-time across goal to beat Alisson Becker. And just minutes from time, the visitors made the difference. With the 1-2 scoreline secured, it was Liverpool's first defeat at Anfield with Van Dijk on the pitch. A long unbeaten run for the Dutch centre-back who arrived in 2018.

Klopp admits it's difficult to finish in top four

"That is not my main worry but I am not that dumb that I don't know about distances and who is up there. We cannot qualify for the Champions League if we play as inconsistent as we do at the moment. We have to fix that.", the coach said during a press conference.
