In a few weeks' time the winter transfer window will bring with it a couple of almost certain changes on Merseyside, as the need for quality and effective players are a couple of issues that have the Reds currently analysing their extensive list of midfield contenders, with talk not only of those who could soon be wearing the red shirt, but also those who could leave the institution in a move for a cash-flow or as a bargaining chip.
What still remains a total unknown at Liverpool directly involves the Guinean, Naby Keita, because with the midfielder still not having any kind of activity in the tournament and with a contract about to expire, thousands of options have been recreated for both good and bad for the institution, leading one of those paths to his departure to make way for a player of similar characteristics but of greater continuity footballer, being Youri Tielemans one of the names that have been shaped to that long list of possibilities at Anfield.

This option has been more a suggestion made by the former Reds player, David James, who sees in this player of Belgian origin the necessary qualities to be able to help Jurgen Klopp in the fulfilment of the midfield, being this an element that has already shown his disinterest with Leicester City by not signing a contract in search of better opportunities, the same that Liverpool can give him immediately when he arrives as a free agent.
It was to thegamescabin website that the former Reds goalkeeper made some comments about the Belgium international, stating that Youri's style of play would fit in perfectly with the German manager's strategies, not to mention the big attraction of him arriving for free next summer.
"Youri Tielemans is a player I like a lot. If you look at the way he plays, he would fit in Liverpool's midfield. If there are players leaving for free next summer, then he could fit in well as a replacement."
Part of the former goalkeeper's idea is that as soon as Youri steps foot inside Anfield, he will generate that healthy competition within the squad, supporting each other with the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho to raise that individual and collective level. The only drawback that players tend to present when they are free agents is the financial aspect, always demanding a higher amount than they were valued at before leaving their former institution, a situation that could put the Anfielders on the back foot.
