Although the 2022-2023 season was not the best in recent years, our Liverpool has enjoyed great results during the recent period, in which we have won every trophy possible and have once again positioned ourselves as one of the best teams in Europe. During that time, Anfield has seen the passing of great players who have been key to the club's success.

However, there were players who, although they were part of the squad, were never able to establish themselves and although they were important, they did not leave the best of memories in the fans' minds. At the end of last season, the board announced the departures of several players who marked a winning era at Anfield, such as Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, who left the club as free agents.

Of those players who left the club, Naby Keita is perhaps the one who left the worst feelings, as at the end of his time at Liverpool he did not have much activity, as he lost the confidence of Jürgen Klopp, who opted not to renew him when his contract expired.

After his departure, Naby Keita received several offers to continue his career away from Anfield, however none of them came from big teams in Europe, so no matter where he went it would be a step back in his career after having spent several years in the most important team in England.

Where will Naby Keita play next season?

After finishing his contract with Liverpool, Naby Keita became a free agent and after negotiating with several interested teams, he has decided to return to the Bundesliga to play for Werder Bremen. Keita's new team was one of the worst last season in the German league, finishing only 3 points above the relegation zone.
