If there is one thing that has characterised Liverpool FC, it is the quality of the people who have passed through its ranks, not only as sportsmen, but also as human beings. In this case Robbie Fowler, a Red's legend, recently became a trend when he made a donation of 18,000 euros to Fans Supporting Foodbanks, earning even more respect from the fans.

Fans Supporting Foodbanks is a charity that collects food for people in vulnerable conditions before the games of the two biggest teams in the city, Liverpool FC and Everton FC. This worthy cause has been supported by legends from both clubs, most recently Red's academy player Robbie Fowler.

Robbie Fowler's huge donation will help fund food and groceries, and a community kitchen will be set up at St Celia's Secondary School in Tuebrook, north-east Liverpool, in the coming days. "Thanks to this support, many families will be able to have a hot meal and a decent place to eat," said the foundation.

According to the organisers, the former England footballer and now England manager is a great human being who cares about those who need him most. "At a time of great struggle for all, and in the face of a complicated global situation, Robbie has once again shown that he is on the side of many, fighting in our great city with this magnificent gesture".

After retiring as a professional footballer in 2015, Robbie Fowler trained as an assistant in the Red's youth ranks, making his debut in 2019 as a senior manager with Brisbane Roar of the Australian A-League, before moving on to the following season with East Bengal FC the Indian Super League. The former centre-forward is currently an entrepreneur and special guest on a number of sports programmes.
