Having triumphed at Anfield, Georginio Wijnaldum, who played in the Champions League final against Tottenham in 2019 and came on for James Milner, made Reds history by winning a sixth title, making Liverpool the fourth most successful team in the competition. So Wijnaldum went down in Reds history for being part of the team that returned Liverpool to greatness as in 2020 they also won the Premier League, so the Dutchman's salary was €4.5 million, playing a total of 237 games for the Reds according to Transfermarkt between 2016 and 2021.
So in 2021 and at the end of his contract with Liverpool he moved to PSG as a world class player, thus receiving a salary of €10 million being the highest of his career, which would have convinced him to sign with the Parisians, however he did not give the results that were expected which made that in 2022 he went on loan to Roma where he could not do much either.
In the end he returned to PSG where he had no involvement and now moved to Arabian football where, although most players get paid an unrivalled salary, Wijnaldum could be earning approximately €5 million, despite not having been at his best at PSG, so he could still be earning a large amount without having shown his full potential.
After a successful career with the Reds he was unable to find his best version of himself again as his salary in Paris was €10 million, however his last salary with PSG was €5.2 million, also during his loan in Italy with Roma, the Dutchman did not have the desired numbers and now in what seems to be the end of his career he arrives in Arabian football where he will try to have regularity alongside his former teammate Jordan Henderson.
