Liverpool's search for reinforcements continues after two very good signings. However, both Jürgen Klopp and the Reds board are clear that the team needs at least two more reinforcements, and according to various reports they are looking for a midfielder and a central defender to shore up the team.

Last season ended in failure for our Liverpool, as the team failed to win a single title and was also left out of the next edition of the Champions League. That is why Klopp would have decided to start a reconstruction of the squad and for this he would have communicated to the board that the transfer market would be fundamental for the club's aspirations for the next campaign.

While it is true that the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have been very well received by the fans, it is also true that the squad is still not entirely solid, as we now need a reliable and prolific central defender who can complement Virgil van Dijk and who, in turn, can become his heir and leader of Liverpool's defense when van Dijk leaves the team in the coming years.

In that sense, Jürgen Klopp seems to have it clear and has a high priority to fill that spot. We are talking about Levi Colwiil, a 20-year-old English central defender who currently belongs to Chelsea and is valued at €30 million according to the Transfermarkt portal. Klopp wants Colwill to reinforce the defense, but everything seems to indicate that getting him could be an impossible mission, because in recent days the Liverpool board contacted the London club who would have communicated that they are not willing to sell Colwill at any price.

Klopp's insistence

Despite Chelsea's first refusal, it has been reported that once again the Liverpool board asked for Levi Colwill, however the answer was the same: Levi Colwill is not for sale. However, there is hope for Liverpool, as it has been reported that the 20-year-old defender has refused to renew his contract with Chelsea as the club cannot guarantee him the playing time he wants, leaving the possibility of a possible exit.
