Jürgen Klopp could try to sign one of the world's best midfielders

Our Liverpool's priority has been to sign midfielders this summer transfer window, and although the task has not been easy, so far the Anfield board has managed to sign Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, two young and talented players who have excited the team's supporters and who promise to become stars of the team, as they are expected to have leading roles from their first season with the club.

However, everything seems to indicate that Jürgen Klopp would not be satisfied with those two signings and would be looking for another midfielder to complete the midfield renovation that has been orchestrated this summer and that with the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho could be completed. In that regard, it appears that Liverpool's top priority is to sign 19-year-old Belgian defensive midfielder Romeo Lavia, who is valued at £50 million by his current club Southampton.

So far, Liverpool have made two offers to the Saints board. The first was £37 million, but was rejected and the second was reportedly £45 million according to media reports. However, it seems that Southampton will stand firm on getting a 50 million package to let Romeo Lavia leave this summer, which could end up being an impediment to the young Belgian's arrival at Anfield.

In light of this, renowned journalist Rudy Galetti has reported that Liverpool are discussing internally making an offer for Inter Milan's Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella, who had been named as one of Klopp's potential targets for some weeks now.

How much would Liverpool pay to sign Barella?

According to Rudy Galetti, Nicolo Barella was initially not for sale, but it now appears that Inter Milan would accept an offer for the 26-year-old midfielder who is valued at £68 million by the Italian club. Although such a move would be considerably more expensive than that of Romeo Lavia, fans believe it would be worth it because Barella would be a guarantee in Liverpool's midfield.
