Liverpool has finally managed to secure its second signing of the summer transfer window, as the Reds' board decided to pay the 70 million euros termination clause to sign Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.

The officialization of his signing for Liverpool should happen in the next few days once he undergoes medical examinations and signs his new contract with Liverpool. Dominik Szoboszlai was considered by many as the most promising player in the Bundesliga, as at 22 years of age he had aroused the interest of big teams around the world, so his arrival at Anfield has raised great expectations from the Reds fans, who hope he can contribute immediately to the team.

In that sense, last season was a reminder that just because you pay a lot of money for a player does not mean that he will perform at a high level. The perfect example is Darwin Nunez, who joined Liverpool a year ago when our club paid Benfica 80 million euros for him. Nunez promised to be the team's next great striker, but his debut season was frankly disappointing, which is why Jürgen Klopp would not look unfavorably on the arrival of another center forward.

Although the signing of a new striker does not seem to be a priority, various reports suggest that Klopp would not be closed to signing a new attacker, especially if it is a world-class striker who could take us to the next level.

Osimhen in Liverpool's sights

According to several reports, Liverpool's board of directors have scheduled a meeting with Victor Osimhen's entourage to discuss a possible move to Anfield. Thanks to his great performance last season with Napoli, where he scored 31 goals, Osimhen is valued at 120 million euros, however it is speculated that Napoli's board would be looking to obtain up to 180 million.
