There has been talk of Liverpool's interest in Jude Bellingham, for whom some media are quoting that they could pay well over 100 million euros, even 150 kilos, in a fight they share with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, and also, more remotely, with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, who will not reach those sums. There is also talk of Kylian Mbappé, and even other names, and that's because Liverpool are going to let go of a lot of class.

Metro reports that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's situation is clear: he does not count for Jürgen Klopp and certainly not enough to be renewed next season, just when his contract with the English club expires, so the England international, who missed out on Qatar precisely because of his lack of prominence this season, could be an asset to be taken into account in many other illustrious houses in Europe, such as the one ruled by Xavi and Simeone.

In the same way, another of Liverpool's big absentees at the World Cup, in addition to the ill-fated Diogo Jota, or the unqualified Luis Diaz and Mo Salah, is Roberto Firmino, a nine-footer with the ability to play as a ten-man and who can fit into both the Camp Nou and Metropolitano schemes due to his extreme versatility. As with the midfielder, the Brazilian is out of contract and will not continue unless there is a surprise.

And both situations are not evenly matched in terms of the use Klopp is making of them this season, as while Chamberlain has only played 119 minutes in all competitions, Firmino has been the second most used striker of the season, playing 1375 minutes.

Atletico Madrid want Chamberlain

It is clear that the injuries to Luis Diaz and Jota, as well as the absences of Darwin Nunez, have contributed to this. But the important thing in this matter is that Liverpool are looking for new reinforcements over two important players who will not be renewed and who, therefore, are pure gold for other teams, even more so if these, as is the case with FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, are in financial difficulties, accentuated by their fall in the Champions League.
