The month of December begins and Jürgen Klopp

The month of December begins and Jürgen Klopp, Luis Díaz and Liverpool receive bad news due to the injury of one of the club's stars. Despite these good moments for Luis Diaz, there is bad news for Liverpool at the beginning of December and Jürgen Klopp is worried, as one of his best players has a muscle injury and will be out for the next few games. The coach is starting to look at possible variants. We are talking about the Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is suffering from an injury and will not be in the starting eleven for the next few weeks.

More precisely, Alisson will be out for two weeks, after the injury he suffered in the last game against Manchester City. The Brazil goalkeeper stayed on the pitch, but at the end of the match he began to suffer discomfort in his hamstring. Jürgen Klopp told a press conference that the problem is less serious than first thought. Alisson is not expected to return to action until mid-December.

While Liverpool are being notified about Alisson Becker's situation, Luis Diaz continues to work towards a return to the starting line-up. The Colombian start line-up against LASK and Fulham at Anfield and Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Union Saint-Gilloise away. The latter Europa League game would see the return of Alisson (14 December 2023). Irishman Caoimhín Odhrán Kelleher is tipped to replace Alisson.

Klopp's latest bad news

And the new bad news that Klopp gave at Friday's press conference was that Thiago Alcantara has not evolved and everything continues as before so there is still no return date for him: "Nothing changed. He needs time. We see him everyday. Still a fantastic guy."
