West Ham manager spoke ahead of the Reds' clash at Anfield on Wednesday

Liverpool were in the eye of the storm this weekend in multiple situations, as while some were praising them for their surprise win over the runners-up, others were intrigued by what would happen to Jurgen Klopp after he was sent off in the closing stages of the game by central referee Anthony Taylor, with the German manager having to wait for the FA's decision, which was communicated to him on Tuesday.

According to the Football Association, the Liverpool manager's behaviour during the 86th minute of the game against Manchester City is alleged to have been inappropriate and he has until Friday to give a response to his actions, all stemming from a foul by Bernardo Silva on Mohamed Salah that had previously gone uncalled. While the manners were not correct, there is one Premier League manager who was empathetic to what Klopp was calling for.

Mohamed Salah provoked anger from Liverpool legend

West Ham United boss David Moyes, ahead of their game against Liverpool, spoke a little about the issue at Anfield on Sunday, surprising the Scot by initially siding with Jurgen Klopp, but of course only on the issue of whether or not the Egyptian attacker was fouled. "If you look at the incident that he (Jürgen Klopp) got angry about... he was right, wasn't he?".

While by no means should coaches or footballers be allowed to lose control of their actions and insult officials on the pitch in any way, it could be said that Klopp was at all times just being over-exuberant in justifying that foul which, given the time on the scoreboard, meant endless variations on City's failure to get to their goal and rescue a point at Anfield.

The Reds boss himself came out on Tuesday to talk about the game and a little about his actions on the pitch, offering an apology for his behaviour which he knew was wrong once he had taken a cold look at things, although as far as his stance on the foul is concerned, it remains unchanged. The German will be able to face the game against West Ham United on Wednesday night as normal, with a statement to the FA on Friday about what happened last Sunday.
