Luis Díaz is currently the top player in Colombian football. The Barracas striker has been one of the most recognised players in the last year. However, his past is linked to Junior de Barranquilla, the team where he started his professional career. Since his departure from Junior, 'Lucho' has remained a faithful follower of the current situation of the red and white team.

During his summer holidays he took some time to train a couple of days with the shark squad and wore the new jersey. However, one photograph casts doubt on whether he is a 100% Junior fan. The 2015 image is of Diaz before his time as a player with the Barranquilla team and his debut as a professional.

In the photo Lucho is wearing a cap of another Colombian football great. It is América de Cali. Although it may be that it is an element that was loaned or something similar, the controversy has been unleashed in networks. Junior fans defend the Guajiro and his love for the colours of the coastal team, while the Americans claim to be such a prominent supporter.

The truth is that it would not be unusual for Díaz to be a fan of the scarlet team. The Red Devils and Nacional have fans in every corner of the country and surely Guajira is no exception. For now, only the protagonist could answer the question of which is his real team in Colombia. Beyond that, it is clear that Diaz is a reference for all Colombian football fans.

It was supposed to be a party in front of his fans, an invitation to a Premier League comeback and a longed-for embrace, but it was a bitter balance and a 3-3 draw for a Liverpool side unable to solve their marking problems, against a Brighton side that made them look very bad for many moments and could even surprise them. Diaz was a substitute and when he came on he lent a hand, but he is not a swallow capable of making summer.
