Following Liverpool's announcement on social media of Ryan Gravenberch's official signing, fans have quickly begun to wonder when and against whom they will be able to see the qualities of their fourth and latest signing of the season, and although it was initially thought that his Merseyside debut would be against Aston Villa this Sunday, it seems that this situation has changed in an unexpected way.

With the Reds having had a resounding success several days ago with the signing of Wataru Endo and his sudden debut against Newcastle, it was thought that the same formula could now be repeated with the new Dutch-born player, but due to misjudged timing, Liverpool were unable to make Ryan's Premier League registration effective, leaving Gravenberch without the chance of seeing him make his debut against Aston Villa.

Having ruled out a debut against the Villans on Sunday, the nearest possible date for the midfielder's debut will be after the FIFA matchday this September, when he will be called up by the Netherlands to play in the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece and Ireland, with matchday 5 against Wolverhampton being the ideal scenario to see some game time.

Gravenberch with one goal

Taking the risk of abandoning his Bayern Munich project to join a Liverpool side that will have plenty of competition in midfield is a challenge worthy of recognition for the young Dutchman, and while his immediate goal is to make his debut in the Reds' colours, his main goal is to beat any of the reinforcements for a place in Klopp's starting line-up, his most specific battle being with Wataru Endo, who shares technical similarities.
