Having all but confirmed that Jude Bellingham is indeed interested in leaving Borussia Dortmund to join Liverpool in the Premier League, rumours have begun to swirl around the price the Reds will pay and how long the midfielder will be contracted for on Merseyside, with the number he will choose for this new challenge in his career just as relevant.
Throughout his career, Jude Bellingham has been identified by his great work in midfield and by the number 22 that he always wears on his shirts, not being out of place even with the Three Lions squad where he also chose to wear that same number, assuming many that upon his arrival on Merseyside that number will be loaned to him by Calvin Ramsay who currently uses it.

But possibly Bellingham in this new facet as a Liverpool player may even decide to change jersey and leave behind that 22 that accompanied him all this time, opting perhaps to have that number 8 that today lives its last moments next to Naby Keita, having all the Reds fans that approval for this midfielder to use that jersey that was historic a few years ago.
As everyone around Anfield knows, the number 8 at Liverpool is completely linked to the midfield, and more specifically to the English player, Steven Gerrard, with the Reds fans having that nostalgia every time he is linked to the institution, projecting himself directly in Bellingham as the perfect replacement who fits all the criteria to be able to wear that eight on his back.
It is well known that the Borussia Dortmund player is a great admirer of the eternal captain Steven Gerrard, perhaps having in mind to wear the number that his favourite player once wore and thus try to bring those satisfactions to Liverpool as he did in his time. Perhaps the respect that Bellingham has for the former Reds player will make him doubt whether or not he should wear the number 8 on his back, but perhaps in time and with his performances he will be able to earn it.
