Jürgen Klopp and the Anfield board have been unable to finalize their third signing of this summer transfer window despite the fact that our Liverpool have been surrounded by rumors constantly linking them with various players who could be coming to the club, however there does not appear to be any player whose arrival is imminent in the coming days.
It is true that the transfer market still has a few weeks left and Jürgen Klopp himself has already assured that Liverpool will indeed make more additions so the club's fans can rest assured in that regard. Who would not be so calm would be Kloop himself, as everything seems to indicate that one of his big targets for this summer will definitely not arrive at Anfield, as his current club has closed the door to any kind of negotiation.
We are talking about Levi Colwill, 20-year-old English central defender who would have aroused great interest in Jürgen Klopp who would see him as the heir of Virgil van Dijk, who last season did not have his best performance, which is why many have come to think that our new captain does not have many years left playing at the highest level and that a new young defender is needed who can lead the lower area of the team in Klopp's new project.
However, it seems that Klopp will be left wanting to sign Levi Colwill and will have to look elsewhere if he wants to sign a new defender this summer, which has been reported to be one of the German tactician's top priorities. With the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, which could generate around £52 million, Liverpool could look to sign a good defender who can help the team's defense improve substantially.
Given the impossibility of signing Levi Colwill, Jürgen Klopp would have at least two players who could also become the team's new defender. Gonçalo Inacio and Micky van de Ven would be on Liverpool's radar, although it is believed that their signings would not be a priority and that the club would first look to secure the arrival of a new midfielder.
