Chelsea and Liverpool took to the field for the final of the EFL Cup, one of England's domestic titles, at Wembley. With Argentinians Enzo Fernandez and Alexis Mac Allister starring for both sides, the Blues and Reds played out a goalless draw at the legendary British stadium.

400 million worth of injured Liverpool players not playing in Carabao Cup final
For the first ten minutes, both sides failed to stand out. Jurgen Klopp's side looked to control play in their opponents' territory, with Mac Allister creating chances. After 12 minutes, the Argentine had the first attempt on Liverpool's goal with a long-range effort that was saved by Petrovic. In the next move, a mistake by Disasi gave Luis Diaz, the Colombian, a clear chance to score, but his shot was effectively blocked by the Serbian goalkeeper.
On 60 minutes Liverpool could have broken the deadlock with a superb header from Netherlands international Virgil Van Dijk. However, the VAR made its presence felt again. The centre-back went in search of a goal from a free-kick taken to perfection by Scotland's Robertson. The cross found Van Dijk at the top of the area, who curled the ball in and the keeper could do nothing about it despite his best save. The action, however, was disallowed for an offside by Endo.

Pochettino won't be the only Chelsea side to be humiliated by Liverpool in this Carabao Cup final
Klopp's reaction to what happened was to laugh at the VAR decision. The fans present at Wembley began to boo and on social media the anger was evident as there was no clear explanation for the disallowed goal. This decision also comes on top of the no red card for Moises Caicedo after injuring Ryan Gravenberch.
