The start of the year for Liverpool is proving to be a complex one, as the absence of players is a challenge for Jürgen Klopp, who so far has done an excellent job with his squad, which he has been able to take advantage of in all competitions, where so far they have a great pace, advancing in the cups and maintaining the top places in the Premier League.

So after the Reds' last game, against Fulham, it was thought that after the short break they would be able to return for their next Premier League game. However, that doesn't seem to have worked out as expected, with both Trent Alexander Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai not seeming to have had the desired improvement in their injuries.
After training on Wednesday, both Trent and Szoboszlai were absent and will not be available to play against Bournemouth on Sunday 21 January. This is terrible news for the Reds, as both TAA and Dominik are players who have performed excellently and are key players for the Reds.
Their return will be extended by a few more days, as they could be back for the Carabao Cup semi-final at Craven Cottage against Fulham. So the Reds could have a long-awaited return of two of their best players by the end of the month, let's hope they don't have any problems and can return as soon as possible.

Was Klopp's favourite player, but now betrays him and is close to leaving
Klopp has shown what a great manager he is this season, where his team has been seriously affected by injuries, yet Klopp has always been able to find excellent solutions, whether it be changing some players' positions or giving youth players a chance. So against Bournemouth, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister could be the ones chosen to replace the injured players.
