At Anfield the restructuring of the team continues, since the beginning of this season the team has made big changes, in the beginning were players who were pillars for the team led by Jürgen Klopp. Now the team is doing a kind of cleansing of the squad in the face of players who have not had and will not have opportunities this season, so they are still looking for space for players in other teams.

One of them, the closest to leave Merseyside, is the defender Nathaniel Phillips, who just returned from his loan spell with Celtic of Scotland, where he did not have the expected minutes of play, so it was decided to terminate his contract early, as his loan ended until the summer, so now is a question mark over his future.

Despite the fact that Jürgen Klopp needs a squad with plenty of players, with Liverpool's current injury situation and the fact that they are still alive in all competitions, there is a need for a large squad on Merseyside. Despite this, a number of players have returned to the team after a failed loan spell, yet there doesn't seem to be any player who has come in to play for real.

So Nathaniel Phillips would only return to Liverpool to go on another loan spell with a team where he can get game time and improve his level, even though Philips is no longer a youth player, as he is 26 years old. So he is playing his last chances with the Reds in order to stay, because if he does not improve, his departure would be imminent.

What would be Philips' destination, where he will look to improve sooner rather than later?

Nat Philips arrived at Liverpool in 2016 from Bolton, despite this he has not had a great spell on Merseyside. Philips has not been able to secure a starting place in Jürgen Klopp's side. Philips, together with Rhys Williams, made a duo in the centre of the team in some games, doing an excellent job. However, they were only moments of brilliance that never reappeared. So far there is no certain destination, so he could join a Premiership team like most of the players who have gone out on loan this season, so maybe after the next game of the Reds against Bournemouth, Philips will leave Anfield.
