It is a crucial time at Anfield as talk of Kylian Mbappé's possible arrival at Liverpool grows louder and louder. What started as a rumour is now starting to gain more traction and Mbappé's name is increasingly being linked with Merseyside, so this has started to become a news story that is disturbing the calm of some Reds fans.

Former Reds player Dietmar Hamman recently stated about Mbappé's possible transfer to Liverpool, which he didn't rule out but didn't confirm either, as this is what he replied when asked about the move: "Is it feasible? I'm not sure, Liverpool have never spent as much money as this, but it would be a free transfer in the summer.

While the biggest problem for the Reds' potential signing of the Frenchman would be his high salary, which raises serious doubts on Merseyside, Hamman said: "The problem would be the wage structure, as he would earn twice as much as the rest of the squad and there is always the risk of upsetting the dynamic within the team.

Despite this the former Reds midfielder made it clear that the possibility of the Frenchman's arrival at Anfield is not closed, saying: "Mbappé to Liverpool? Well, he could potentially sign a contract now, these are reports from France as he will finish his contract in the summer." So it could be a matter of time before one of the best players in the world is signed by the Reds.

Happiness abounds at Anfield

Happiest of all is former Reds player Daniel Sturridge, who can be seen in a video making the rounds on social media, filming himself singing a catchy song about Mbappé's possible arrival on Merseyside. Demonstrating his great affection for the Reds, as well as adding to the excitement surrounding the news.
