Liverpool have managed through consistency and good football to remain one of the strongest clubs in the Premier League so far in the 2023-2024 season, with the collective being one of the strengths of this institution that during the month of January will have to endure the loss of Wataru Endo and Mohamed Salah, not being for many a real complication this issue as the bench has at its disposal a couple of great players who can replace this pair of references.

The recovery of Ryan Gravenberch and the rise of Doiminik Szoboszlai are good signs that the midfield will not have serious complications for a few weeks, and the same goes for the right wing where Gakpo, Nunez, Jota and Lucho Diaz can take over the Egyptian's duties.

With no player problems to contend with, Klopp knows that his squad has in its favour the ease of shots on goal from almost anywhere, as well as a goal distribution rarely seen at the Reds, with Trent Alexander Arnold to Darwin Nunez a lethal threat to opponents who must cover in and out of the box.

While the attacking midfield and attacking sector will have no trouble getting the goals they need, the Reds manager will not have to worry about the first block of his starting line-up either, with Virgil van Dijk so far the best defensive centre-back in the Premier League, being very well complemented by the recurrent performances of Ibrahima Konate, surprisingly the great level of Trent Alexander Arnold but above all Joe Gomez who has been able to keep up with his teammates, leaving the bench a spectacular substitute like Jarell Quansah who has been praised already a couple of times by his captain.

The external factor that makes the Reds a fearsome side

While on the pitch Klopp has all the resources necessary to make up for the loss of the Japanese and the Egyptian, off the pitch the squad has the backing of a supportive home and away support, with Anfield being one of the toughest venues for almost any opponent, playing that point in favour of a Liverpool side that will see three home games in January, starting on the first day against a Newcastle side who come in as the victims.
