The Reds captain left the match against Ajax in the 71st minute and there is already news about his condition

Liverpool won 3-0 away to Ajax on Wednesday, a result that sent the Reds through to the last 16 of the Champions League and eliminated the Dutch side on matchday five of the group stage. Mohamed Salah (42) opened the scoring in the closing minutes of the first half before Darwin Nunez (49) and Harvey Elliott (52) put the game beyond doubt just after the restart.

With this result, Liverpool are second in Group A with 12 points, three behind leaders Napoli who, with a clean sheet, lead Group A with 15 points. The Italian side must visit Anfield on the sixth and final matchday, in a top-of-the-table clash in which they have the advantage after beating Liverpool 4-1 in the first leg.

Darwin Núñez attacked in networks, cost 100 million and misses these goals

Jürgen Klopp's reaction to Henderson injury against Ajax

Darwin Nunez was Liverpool's big signing in the summer transfer window. He was signed for an initial fee of $78 million, with an additional $25 million in incentives. For that kind of money, a lot was expected of him. People expected a lot of goals, but it didn't happen from the start, and many questioned his signing.

One of the best players on the pitch was captain Jordan Henderson, who was the man to shine in the team's first goal scored by Mohamed Salah, providing a spectacular assist to leave the Egyptian alone in front of the goalkeeper. Here's what Klopp had to say about it: "The first goal, the overview of Hendo was exceptional. The second goal was a great cross and the whole situation how Darwin takes on pretty much everybody. And then Harvey crowns his really good performance with a sensational finish".

<strong>Hendo&#39;s injury is not serious</strong>

On the knock he received in the second half that forced Henderson to leave the pitch and be substituted, the German coach had this to say: "Is Jordan Henderson OK? I think so, I was worried as well because it was in front of me. Knee on knee is so painful, it's a bruise but as far as I know now nothing else."
